The eighth edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMMA) was held recently and it saw Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo bag the Afrimma Award for Best East African Artist of the year.
Edrisa Musuuza (real names) was under this category with the likes of Bensoul (Kenya), Darassa (Tanzania), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Harmonize (Tanzania), Lij Mic (Ethiopia), Meddy (Rwanda), Nviiri The Storyteller (Kenya), Rayvanny (Tanzania) and Sauti Sol (Kenya) to bag the award.
In related news, Spice Diana and Rema Namakula lost the East Africa Best Female Artist award to Kenya’s Nikita Kering.
