July 23, Lugogo Grounds: The Ugandan star invites an endless procession of guests to her sell-out concert dubbed African Music Concert.

The African Music album from the singer-songwriter from Bunga reaffirms her heritage through its 16 hopeful, optimistic tracks that translate her life experiences. Today as she performs her first concert, she is dubbed the face of Uganda music based on the sounds and instrumentation of this album.

Walking into Lugogo, there was a homogenous buzzing as a huge crowd dressed to the nines psyched themselves up for ‘The Queen of Vibes’ Azawi. Yesterday night marked the first time an artist from Swangz Avenue has achieved the incredible feat of selling out one of Kampala’s biggest venues.

At the gates, general tickets were going for Shs50k while VIP tickets go for Shs100k, with a table of eight people going for Shs2.5m.

Following her heroes welcome, Azawi eventually steps on stage and kicks off the show with her ‘My Year‘ hit: the raggae ‘Crazy Lover’ and the catchy ‘Gimme’.

In the line-up, fellow record label artist Winnie Nwagi showed up on stage and excited fans with her twerking skills, A Pass and Pia Pounds came through as well.

Fik Fameica showed up on stage to perform their motivational rendition of their collab “Majje“, Grenade Official and Pinky as they perform “Picha“, Eddy Kenzo and Karole Kasita turned out too, Zex Bilangilangi lent his talent and time to perform his hit “Magazine”.

Guinness was the biggest sponsor of the concert which explains why the show was lit and how it managed have such a dope line-up.
